Pawn Johnson-Hunter MS, BSN, RN, GERO-BC, CM/DN has extensive experience in geriatric clinical practice and nursing education. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare from various nursing specialty areas, including acute care, long-term care, rehab nursing, assisted living, and home health, the primary focus is to improve health outcomes for underserved, vulnerable populations. Her path to healthcare began in1994 as a nursing assistant and continues to evolve today.

Pawn improves outcomes with pre-licensure nursing students and professional development. Her research has been presented at state conferences, workshops, and globally. Continued interests include educating undergraduate nursing students, improving the health and wellness within the geriatric population, and mentorship. To stay up-to-date with nursing practice, she works in clinical settings in leadership and at the bedside, CPR instruction, medication technician course instruction, and provides consultant services to organizations servicing the geriatric population.
